Awakening the Wisdom Within -

A Meditation, Mindful Yoga & Dharma Retreat

September 13 - 15, 2019

The Art of Living Retreat Center, Boone, North Carolina

Connect to Your Inner Wisdom for Transformation
When wisdom arises we are able to observe the habits of mind that cause suffering. Out of wisdom comes the ability to make wise choices by recognizing that peace is just a breath away regardless of life’s changing conditions. Teachers Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds invite you to take a journey of finding your inner wisdom and awakening it. They bring you their unique style that interweaves yoga and Buddhist practices with wisdom teachings, backed by over 40 years of dedicated practice, studies and teaching experience.

How Will You Transform?
Explore your inner wisdom through teachings on:

  • Creating more intimacy with yourself

  • Managing your life in a skillful way

  • Supporting the awakening of wisdom and compassion

Practicing mindfulness and yoga together helps create an inner environment of calm that supports clarity of vision. This promotes the insight that builds as wisdom and expresses itself as compassion, the key to happiness. It helps one grow in toleration, deep listening and making wise choices. We explore new ideas and learn how to interweave them into our daily lives.

Your journey within will be facilitated through:

  • Yoga practice, including passive (yin) and gentle active yoga

  • Sitting and walking meditation practices interwoven with yogic and Buddhist philosophy

  • Pranayama (breathing practice)

  • Dharma (philosophy) teachings

  • Group discussion and sharing

  • Spiritual inquiry

  • The practices in this retreat are appropriate for all levels of experience. No previous experience in meditation or yoga is necessary.
