Journey Into Yoga & Meditation Retreat:
Walking the Path of Heart
with Brahmani & Jashoda
December 1 - 3, 2017
at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Lenox, Massachusettes
Calling all Yogis & Yoginis of every age and stage of life!
This retreat begins with the premise that it’s possible for each of us to live with grace and ease, recognizing our innate peace and wisdom, regardless of our situation. This human life inevitably requires us to navigate through the 10,000 joys and sorrows. All of the practices and teachings provide us with a path to navigate back home.
In a safe community, Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds invite you to empower your life long spiritual journey through the practices of Yin and gentle active Kripalu Yoga, meditation, pranayama, dharma teachings & psychospiritual inquiry.
During this contemplative time of compassionate exploration you will:
- explore how the practices offered awaken the flow of energy, chi, positively impacting your mental and emotional states
- increase range of motion through the mindful movement practice
- discover practices to take home.
- recognize the insights and wisdom received on the mat & cushion that you can use as allies in every moment as you continue to walk the path.
Brahmani and Jashoda love teaching together, interweaving Buddhist and yogic perspectives with joy and lightness.
All levels of experience are welcome.
Wisdom In Every Cell: A Meditation, Mindful Yoga & Dharma Retreat
with Sylvia Boorstein, Brahmani Liebman & Jashoda Edmunds
December 15 - 17, 2017
at 1440 Multiversity in Santa Cruz, California
Distinguished teachers Sylvia Boorstein, Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds lead us on this weekend journey of learning with the whole mind and body to touch the wisdom within every cell.
Meditation, Mindful Yoga & Dharma teachings practiced together provide a profound way to strengthen the container and liberate the mind from habits that cause suffering through both direct insight and inspiration. We can recognize that peace is possible in each moment regardless of life's changing conditions.
This retreat will be filled with periods of sitting and walking meditation along with dharma teachings that will be recapitulated and integrated through the body in a mindful Yoga practice. These sessions will include both Passive (Yin) & Gentle Active practice that is appropriate for all levels of experience.
When mindfulness and yoga are practiced together they help create an inner environment of calm that supports clarity of vision. This clarity promotes the insight that builds as wisdom and expresses itself as compassion, the key to happiness. One is able to grow in tolerance, listen deeply and make wise choices in a life. Additionally, when the teachings of the dharma and yoga are practiced in this seamless way, we have the pleasure and satisfaction of learning cognitively, contemplatively and viscerally. We will explore how to bring the many benefits of these practices into our daily life. .
Sylvia, Brahmani & Jashoda love teaching together. They have been friends and colleagues for years, integrating the teachings of mindful meditation and yoga practice. They interweave the Buddhist and Yogic perspectives with joy and lightness of heart
No previous experience in meditation or yoga is necessary.
